See what your trip costs in fuel
Say you are taking a caravan from the Dordogne to the Loire. You want to know the fuel bill before you go. Tell Motocamp what your vehicle uses, just once. Every route then shows its fuel, and your trip plan splits it by day.
1Plan your route
Tap Menu, then tap the Route tab. Type Bergen in Start location. Tap Add Stop and type Flåm. Tap Add Stop again and type Geiranger. Type Ålesund in End location. Put the stops in the order you'll drive them. Tap the right place in the list under each box. Then tap Plan Route.

2Tap Add your fuel use
Look in the Route Summary, under your stops. There is a line with a fuel pump. It says Add your fuel use to see what this trip costs in fuel. Tap it. You only do this once for each vehicle.

3Type your number, tap your fuel
A small card opens. Type how many litres your vehicle uses to go 100 km. Your handbook or trip computer will tell you. Then tap the fuel it takes: E10, 95 E5, 98 or Diesel. That saves it.

4See what the trip costs
The line now shows the fuel for the whole trip. In France, Spain and Italy it gives the cost and the litres. The price comes from the fuel stations along your route. Want a new number or a new fuel? Tap Change.

5Get the fuel for each day
Tap Email me this trip plan, or Download PDF. The first page shows the fuel for the whole trip. The table of days has a Fuel column. Each day's page says how much fuel that day needs.

Good to know
Prices come from the public fuel price services of France, Spain and Italy. So they are only as up to date as those services. In other countries you see the litres, not the cost. The same goes where no station near your route has a price. A stretch with no priced station takes the price of the nearest stretch that has one. So treat the cost as a guide. A ferry uses no fuel, so it is left out. Each vehicle keeps its own number. Your number stays on this phone or computer.
Also in the app: maps that work with no signal, campsites and aires, and Plan with AI. It plans routes for seven kinds of vehicle, from an enduro bike to a motorhome.
